A Valuable Exchange on Topical Drug Development & Skin Measurement Science.
Skinlabs was honored to participate in TPC 2026, a highly insightful two-day conference bringing together leading experts in dermatological research, pharmaceutical development, formulation science, and regulatory innovation.
We would like to sincerely thank the organizing committee for delivering an outstanding event, marked by excellent coordination, high scientific quality, and a stimulating collaborative environment.
HIGH-LEVEL SCIENTIFIC CONTENT AND INSPIRING DISCUSSIONS
Across the two days, the quality of the scientific program stood out, with particularly relevant and forward-thinking topics such as:
Scientific & Regulatory Advances for Generic Topical Products
Powder-cast micro-needle fabrication for high-dose delivery of protein therapeutics
Development of stable nano-emulsions for topical delivery of peptide and non-peptide drugs
These sessions highlighted the rapid evolution of topical and transdermal drug delivery systems, and sparked meaningful discussions on how to translate advanced research into robust clinical and industrial applications.
A STRONG PLATFORM FOR KNOWLEDGE SHARING AND NETWORKING
TPC 2026 provided an excellent environment for exchange between researchers, pharmaceutical companies, ingredient manufacturers, CROs, and academic institutions. The diversity of expertise present made the discussions particularly valuable and dynamic.
Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to engage in numerous insightful conversations with professionals actively working on skin barrier function, drug delivery optimization, and advanced formulation technologies. These interactions reinforced the importance of reliable, reproducible, and clinically relevant skin measurement tools in both research and product development.
STRONG INTEREST IN MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGIES FROM DELFIN
There was a particularly strong interest in DELFIN instrumentation, especially the new VapoMeter® (VX).
Attendees showed great appreciation for its improved performance, notably its enhanced measurement precision to 25%, while remaining fully based on the scientifically established closed-chamber TEWL measurement principle.
The combination of improved usability, faster readings, and robust scientific methodology resonated strongly with both academic researchers and industrial scientists.
MoistureMeterD™ Compact AND MICRO-NEEDLING RESEARCH APPLICATIONS
Significant attention was also given to the MoistureMeterD™ Compact, particularly from researchers working on micro-needling and intra-dermal drug delivery systems.
The MoistureMeterD™ Compact is designed to assess local tissue water content at different skin depths (from superficial layers down to the dermis) using Tissue Dielectric Constant (TDC) technology. This makes it especially relevant in studies where micro-needling is used to create controlled micro-channels in the skin for the delivery of therapeutic compounds into the dermal layer.
Researchers highlighted its value in evaluating how effectively substances or formulations reach and interact with the dermis, as well as monitoring physiological changes in tissue hydration following micro-needle-assisted delivery.
INTEREST IN EOTECH SOLUTIONS AND GLOBAL FACIAL ANALYSIS
We also observed strong interest in EOTECH France solutions, particularly the EvaFACE system.
EvaFACE is designed for global 3D facial analysis, enabling researchers to evaluate overall facial morphology and volume changes rather than focusing on localized micro-details. This capability is especially relevant for studies involving dermal injections or topical applications where the objective is to assess global treatment effects across the entire face, such as volume distribution, symmetry, and overall structural changes.
Attendees working on injectable formulations and dermal delivery systems expressed particular interest in how EvaFACE can support objective, reproducible assessment of treatment outcomes at the facial level.
A MEMORABLE AND PRODUCTIVE CONFERENCE
Overall, TPC 2026 was an inspiring and highly productive event. The combination of high-level scientific presentations, innovative technologies, and meaningful professional interactions made it an exceptional platform for knowledge exchange and networking.
Across the event, many attendees expressed their appreciation for the presence of a company like Skinlabs, actively engaged in supporting scientific research and advancing skin health.
There was a clear recognition of the importance of high-end instrumentation in elevating dermatological and pharmaceutical research through reliable, reproducible measurements and advanced imaging technologies.
We are proud to contribute with DELFIN and EOTECH to this progress by providing scientifically grounded devices that help researchers better understand skin biology, improve experimental accuracy, and ultimately drive innovation in skin science and therapeutic development.
